NHS psychological therapies service
You can refer yourself directly to a psychological therapies service without seeing your GP. You do need to be registered with a GP though. These offer therapies like cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) for common problems like stress, anxiety, depression, OCD and phobias.

However, waiting lists can be long and take anything between 3-24months.
